Depression is not always chemical. It’s bothersome that people still blame chronic sadness on chemical imbalances. Personally, I feel this episode was not meant to deal with this kind of sadness, and that’s why they didn’t bring it up. Karofsky’s depression seems to be situation forced, brought upon him by the onslaught of hate, self loathing, and lack of support.
